What is UXPin?

Forge and Wire stop growing outward and start getting cheaper to steer.

UXPin now runs two AI surfaces: Forge, which generates and edits UI inside the editor, and Wire, which turns designs into working product flows shipped as a hosted link or a React export. Wire arrived in June and has absorbed most of the release attention since. The last three months of updates are about control and cost of those surfaces rather than new ones — model tiers, credit purchasing, API key handling, and design-system presets that constrain what the AI produces.

What is Picsart?

Picsart ships Reeva (AI reel director) and generative canvas editing on the same day.

Picsart is rapidly expanding from mobile photo editor to AI-native creative platform. Picsart Flow, its canvas-based workflow tool, now supports generative editing directly — region inpainting, outpainting, video lighting, and virtual camera controls. Alongside that launch, the product introduced Reeva, an AI reel director that converts a brief and up to ten photos into a cinematic clip without requiring users to understand the underlying models. Both shipped September 3, 2026.

DESIGN
5.0

Forge and Wire stop growing outward and start getting cheaper to steer.

◆ Current state

UXPin now runs two AI surfaces: Forge, which generates and edits UI inside the editor, and Wire, which turns designs into working product flows shipped as a hosted link or a React export. Wire arrived in June and has absorbed most of the release attention since. The last three months of updates are about control and cost of those surfaces rather than new ones — model tiers, credit purchasing, API key handling, and design-system presets that constrain what the AI produces.

◆ Where it's heading

The pattern is a shift from capability to economics. Once Forge could generate whole flows and Wire could emit a React app, the open questions became what the generation costs and how tightly a team can bound its output, and the releases now answer those: an Eco model at a fraction of the credits, credits purchasable without leaving the editor, presets that hold generations to a house style. Wire is also being folded into the surrounding product rather than kept separate, with dashboard organization and Forge output routed into it.

◆ Prediction

Expect the credit economy to keep hardening — clearer per-model pricing, and controls that let an admin cap or route spend rather than leaving model choice to each designer. The entries do not indicate whether Wire's React export is heading toward round-tripping or staying a one-way handoff.

Picsart ships Reeva (AI reel director) and generative canvas editing on the same day.

◆ Current state

Picsart is rapidly expanding from mobile photo editor to AI-native creative platform. Picsart Flow, its canvas-based workflow tool, now supports generative editing directly — region inpainting, outpainting, video lighting, and virtual camera controls. Alongside that launch, the product introduced Reeva, an AI reel director that converts a brief and up to ten photos into a cinematic clip without requiring users to understand the underlying models. Both shipped September 3, 2026.

◆ Where it's heading

The product is becoming a multi-model AI platform rather than a single-purpose editor. Flow is the orchestration layer for multiple video and image models (Kling, Seedance, MiniMax, Qwen, Nano Banana), with Reeva as the consumer-facing abstraction on top. A sustained volume of tutorial and model-comparison content positions Picsart as a resource for creators navigating a crowded generative AI market — signaling a content-led growth strategy alongside product development.

◆ Prediction

More AI model integrations into Flow are likely (the Kling/Seedance/MiniMax partnership pattern is ongoing). Reeva will probably expand — longer clips, multi-shot sequences, or brand voice controls — as the product competes with dedicated AI video tools like Runway and Kling for creator mindshare.
