AI keeps being applied to authoring and organisation rather than execution — polishing dictated steps, suggesting test data, proposing a folder structure as a mind map the team must approve rather than an automatic migration. Alongside that, Testomat is moving the manual tester's workspace closer to the application: a side panel that runs tests, records browser actions as reusable steps and attaches console logs and network activity without switching back to the web app. Both threads reduce the typing between having a test in mind and having it recorded.

The extension's action recording is the piece most likely to grow next — converting recorded steps into automated tests would close the manual-to-automated loop the new analytics widget currently only measures.
