ShipHero's MCP gains write access, letting AI agents execute warehouse operations end-to-end from a prompt.

Current state
ShipHero ships a consistent stream of API and mobile improvements targeting warehouse operators and 3PLs: bulk location creation (up to 1,300 locations in one request), BLE barcode scanner support for faster warehouse floor connections, better container barcode workflows, and self-service MWA activation for 3PLs. The Public API is continuously expanded with new mutations and webhook coverage. Underlying this operational cadence is a significant capability jump: the ShipHero MCP now supports write access, enabling AI agents to take real actions in the warehouse.
Where it's heading
ShipHero is building the infrastructure for AI-driven warehouse operations. Write access to the MCP is the proof point: agents can now create orders, adjust inventory, process returns, build kits, and manage transfers—not just query state. The ongoing API expansion (bulk mutations, webhooks, container barcodes) is laying the data foundation for those agentic workflows.
Prediction
Expect more write operations exposed through MCP, along with audit logging and rate controls for agent-initiated actions. Multi-step autonomous workflows—receive, sort, route, ship—triggered by LLM agents without human confirmation are the logical next phase.

Order Upload CSV now supports Tags

CSV order upload now accepts a comma-separated list of order tags, with proper quoting guidance for multi-tag entries. A small but practical convenience for teams that manage orders in bulk via file upload.

📖 Public API: New Backorder and Product Update Webhook Guides

Dedicated documentation pages for two existing webhooks (Order Backorder and Product Update), covering registration, trigger behavior, and example payloads. Documentation improvements, not new capabilities.

Public API August Update: Bulk Locations and Container Workflows

The `location_bulk_create` mutation cuts what was potentially thousands of individual API calls down to a single request for up to 1,300 warehouse locations. Container barcode label PDF generation and improved container ID/barcode workflows are meaningful for operations running scan-intensive fulfillment. Together these reduce the API overhead of large warehouse setup and reorg operations.

3PLs can now enable Multi Warehouse Allocation for clients

3PLs can now enable Multi Warehouse Allocation for clients directly from the MWA page without contacting Support. Removing this support dependency is a practical operational improvement for 3PL account managers who manage multiple client configurations.

    Mobile: BLE Barcode Scanner Support

BLE barcode scanner support in the mobile app (v2.14.126+) delivers faster pairing, reconnection, and scan response times compared to traditional Bluetooth. For warehouse operations where scanner reliability directly affects pick-pack throughput, this is a tangible operational improvement.

ShipHero MCP Gains Write Access for AI Agent Operations

    ⚡ SPARK

Write access in the ShipHero MCP fundamentally changes the agent integration model: from read-only warehouse awareness to executable warehouse control. With operator authorization, agents can now create orders, resolve holds, build kits, adjust inventory, manage transfers, process returns, and more—covering the full operational scope of the ShipHero Public API.
