Distributed SQL query engine for big data

Presto ships steadily, but the feed carries only version numbers and a link.

distributed-sqlquery-engineopen-sourcerelease-cadencepointer-feed
Current state
Presto is releasing on its usual cadence - 0.299 in late August, 0.298 and a 0.298.1 patch in June, 0.297 in April. What is shipping in them cannot be determined from this feed: every entry is a version number and a pointer to release notes hosted elsewhere, with no body text at all.
Where it's heading
The only readable signal is tempo, and tempo is steady rather than accelerating: roughly one minor release per two months, with point releases when a fix cannot wait. The project's direction, breaking changes, and connector work are all invisible here.
Prediction
Cadence suggests 0.300 lands within about two months. Nothing in this feed supports a claim about what will be in it - the release notes would have to be read directly.
