Hosted search and discovery API for websites and applications

Algolia is wiring AI into every layer of search — from analytics to agentic account creation.

Current state
Algolia is shipping across three fronts simultaneously: AI-assisted merchandising, agentic tooling, and search analytics intelligence. Bayesian A/B testing and AI Assist for analytics reduce the gap between data and action for merchandisers who spend their time in the dashboard. The CLI now accepts AI agent sessions for account creation, a quiet but meaningful signal that Algolia is treating agent workflows as a first-class use case.
Where it's heading
The product is converging on a model where AI handles the analytical and operational overhead that currently falls on merchandising and developer teams. DocSearch MCP — making documentation searchable by AI coding assistants — extends Algolia beyond the application layer into developer tooling. That move, paired with agentic CLI support, suggests Algolia is repositioning from a search API to a search infrastructure layer for AI systems.
Prediction
Expect production API endpoints that let AI agents manage indices, rules, and synonyms — not just query them — as Algolia formalizes the agentic interface it has been quietly building out.

Interpret A/B Test Results With Bayesian Experimentation

Bayesian experimentation joins frequentist A/B testing as an alternative statistical method, giving merchandisers a probabilistic read on test results rather than waiting for fixed significance thresholds. This continues Algolia's push to make testing decisions faster and less dependent on statistical expertise.

Introducing Pin Blocks - No More Gaps in Your Curation!

Pin Blocks fills the gap that appeared when a pinned product went out of stock — instead of pulling in an organic fallback, a blank placeholder holds the position. The fix is narrow but it corrects a real merchandising workflow problem where stock changes silently disrupted curated layouts.

Schedule Rules With Confidence: Timezone Selection Is Here

Timezone selection for scheduled rules lets merchandisers running time-sensitive campaigns anchor promotions to the correct local time instead of UTC, eliminating a class of off-by-hours mistakes on flash sales and midnight launches.

Analyze Your Search Performance With AI Assist

AI Assist can now analyze search analytics and surface issues or opportunities in natural language, reducing the manual work of interpreting click-through rates and no-result queries. It fits the pattern of Algolia adding AI interpretation on top of raw metrics rather than leaving that to the operator.
