Intigriti vs GitHub

Intigriti is running two parallel tracks: platform UX for researchers (achievements, payout share images, Slack integration for retest notifications) and a new product surface in CrowdRecon. The researcher engagement features — payout milestone badges, asset-type achievements, shareable payout images — are retention scaffolding for the platform's researcher community, not core security functionality. CrowdRecon is the directional move: it captures hacker reconnaissance signals that never become submitted reports and surfaces them as actionable exposure insights for security teams.

CrowdRecon shifts Intigriti's value proposition from submission-tracking toward continuous exposure intelligence. The bug bounty platform has always captured the endpoint (the validated report); CrowdRecon attempts to capture the signal layer underneath — where hackers are looking, even when they don't find something worth submitting. If enough researcher activity flows through the platform to make these signals statistically meaningful, Intigriti gains a differentiator that's very hard for a competitor to replicate without a large researcher community already engaged.

CrowdRecon will expand: the initial launch captures researcher attention data, but the value compounds as signals aggregate over time into something resembling a threat intelligence layer. Expect tighter integration with pentest programs and program-management workflows on the company side.
