Deepnote has spent the year hardening the fundamentals of a collaborative notebook — Git sync, run snapshots, Polars, multi-format interop, AI cost visibility — and is now opening that accumulated workspace context to external agents. The June move wiring Codex directly into the workspace signals where the bet is going.

Holistics is courting Power BI defectors while folding AI and agentic dev into its BI stack.
Holistics is shipping steadily across three fronts: a one-command Power BI migration path, AI features (Ask AI that asks back, AMQL agentic dev setup via Claude Code), and platform plumbing — an Oracle connector, org-level GitHub App, and embedded-dashboard controls. The cadence is broad and feature-led, not just maintenance.
The clearest play is competitive displacement: map every Power BI concept and automate the switch, then keep the modeling layer code-first and AI-assisted. Holistics is betting that a Git-native, agent-friendly BImodel wins migrators off legacy dashboard tools.
Expect more migration tooling for other incumbents and deeper AI/agentic authoring around AMQL, plus continued connector and embedding expansion.
