Formidable Forms
Formidable Forms ships field-level abandonment drop-off graphs and conversational form drafts across its add-on ecosystem
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Customer.io and Formaloo — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Customer.io spent the summer pushing messaging off the screen and into location, time, and the lock screen
The summer release cycle put more than ten features into the product, and the coherent ones are about context rather than content: geofences trigger workflows when someone enters or leaves a physical location, live notifications render as iOS Live Activities and Android Live Updates, date triggers now read attributes on custom objects, and a notification inbox retains pushes. Around that sits infrastructure work — SMS via Sinch, Infobip and Vonage, multiple mobile apps per platform in one workspace, send-rate controls on automations — and an LLM actions surface where knowledge sources can be attached once and reused across prompts. The most recent entry is editor ergonomics in Design Studio.
Formaloo lets you bring your own form UI, and opens a door in from ChatGPT and Claude
Formaloo runs a monthly release train that has been steadily converting a form builder into a workspace platform: portals with domain-restricted signup, workspace Themes, teams, timezone-consistent records, board voting. July's Magic Logic release moved rule authoring from configuration to description. The latest entry opens two surfaces the product did not have: forms whose UI you build yourself with submissions still kept in Formaloo, and project creation started from inside ChatGPT or Claude, plus private AI analysis and automated scoring and assignment. That entry is a teaser of roughly two hundred characters, so its direction is legible but its scope is not.

The platform is expanding the set of things that can start a message and the set of places one can land, which is a different axis from the segmentation-and-copy tooling most of this category competes on. Geofences and live notifications both take work that previously required a specialist vendor or custom device code and make it a workflow primitive. The LLM actions work is following the same instinct — reusable knowledge sources are the beginning of prompt infrastructure rather than a prompt box — but it is the least developed of the threads. Meanwhile send-rate control and multi-app support read as enterprise deployment blockers being cleared.
Expect the location and live notification surfaces to gain the operational controls that continuous device features require, and the LLM actions path to keep accreting reusable pieces. Design Studio is receiving steady editor polish, so a broader component authoring release is plausible.

The AI thread has changed shape. Magic Logic and the Update Record action both put more capability inside Formaloo's own editor; this release instead loosens Formaloo's hold on where the work starts and what renders it. If forms no longer require Formaloo's interface, the product's centre moves from the builder to the submission store, the workflow engine and the analysis on top — which is consistent with the platform thread that has been replacing per-form configuration with workspace-level systems for months. The assistant entry point points the same way: the dashboard stops being the only front door.
Expect the next cycles to say what the headless path actually is — an API, an embed, or a component library — since the teaser names the capability without naming a mechanism, and to extend the assistant integration past project creation toward the logic and analysis surfaces Magic Logic already automates. On this feed's evidence alone the scope of either is not yet readable.
