◆Current state
Z-Wave JS UI is on a regular maintenance cadence, tracking zwave-js library releases from 15.24 to 15.29 across six releases in roughly three months. The 11.23.0 release added a network speed column and expanded Home Assistant MQTT autodiscovery to Window Covering CC (blind/shade) devices. Dependency updates for morgan and multer accompany most releases.
◆Where it's heading
The core product is stable; visible change velocity is driven by the upstream zwave-js library rather than UI-level feature work. The agentic issue classification and documentation Q&A bot (11.22.1, using local embeddings computed without GitHub Models) shows the team beginning to automate contributor support—a sign of a healthy open-source project managing issue volume rather than a product pivot.
◆Prediction
Feature additions will continue to track zwave-js library capabilities. Expect Home Assistant autodiscovery support for additional command classes as zwave-js 15.x expands coverage. The credential management UI shipped in 11.22.0 may see configuration improvements as users report friction.
