Agency reporting adds ChatGPT ads as a channel before most clients have bought one.

Current state
Whatagraph ships weekly, alternating between new data sources and reducing the manual work of assembling a client report. The recent run added Ahrefs Rank Tracker for keyword-level competitive positions, automatic failover when the account owning a source loses access, Report shortcuts that turn one report into an entry point for others, auto colours for conditional formatting, and in-place field mapping while building a cross-channel Source Group. The newest release adds OpenAI Ads and a Google Ads Keyword Planner source.
Where it's heading
Two threads. The first is removing the recurring maintenance an agency does between report cycles — remapping fields, rebuilding groups, reconnecting sources after someone leaves, re-exporting keyword data monthly. The second is source coverage, which is now extending past ad accounts into other shapes: a keyword list is a source, and a report can be a widget inside another report. Whatagraph is competing on the labour a report costs, not the chart types it offers.
Prediction
Expect more non-ad-account source shapes to follow the keyword-list pattern, and OpenAI Ads coverage to deepen as that platform's own API exposes more than the current account, campaign, ad group and ad levels.

Report on OpenAI Ads, and track Google Ads keyword demand without the monthly export

    ⚡ SPARK

OpenAI Ads becomes a reportable source alongside Google Ads and Meta on the same standard metrics, and Google Ads Keyword Planner arrives as a source that is a keyword list rather than an ad account. The first extends the reporting stack to a new advertising ecosystem; the second breaks the assumption that a source maps to an account.

Unify metrics and dimensions while creating a Source Group

Unmatched fields can be mapped inline while building a cross-channel Source Group, instead of leaving the builder for the Organize screen and starting over. A targeted fix for the moment the gap is actually noticed.

Turn your report into client portal with Report shortcuts

Report shortcuts embed a preview card linking to another report, with passwords, themes and interactive widgets carried over. It lets an agency keep headline numbers in one place and push per-channel detail into supporting reports rather than sending a folder of links.

One broken connection won't break your reports

When the account owning a source loses access, Whatagraph silently switches to another team member who can reach the same source. It targets a failure that shows up as a blank widget in a client-facing report, usually after someone leaves the team.

Clearer charts and tables, and a faster way to find the right template

Auto Colours shades a column across its own range from a single base colour, removing per-metric, per-client thresholds that needed revisiting as performance moved. Bundled with template-finding and chart-readability changes.

Track your keywords against competitors with Ahrefs Rank Tracker

Ahrefs Rank Tracker lands as a separate integration from the existing Ahrefs source, adding keyword-level positions and competitor movement rather than domain-level strength. Whatagraph is explicit that the two answer different questions and neither replaces the other.
