Phorest keeps handing salon owners the settings they used to phone support about

Current state
Phorest is salon and clinic management software shipping small, well-scoped changes every week or two, written in the voice of the front desk. The recent run is dominated by giving owners control they previously had to request: adding product brands without contacting Phorest, per-staff-per-service pricing, per-staff online booking visibility, and finer permissions on who may edit service versus retail prices. Around that sit operational tools like geofenced clock-in on the mobile app.
Where it's heading
The through-line is decentralising configuration to the salon and making the booking model match how these businesses actually run. Nearly every recent release either removes a support ticket or lets one staff member be treated differently from another — different price, different online availability, different qualifications. The multi-service booking flow extends the same thinking to the client-facing side, where a visit involving two practitioners was previously modelled as an edge case.
Prediction
Per-staff settings have now landed for price, online visibility and qualifications separately; the obvious next step is a single staff-level view that shows all three together, since the release notes already admit owners are hopping between screens to check them.

Booking multiple services with multiple staff? Now way easier to mix up who's doing what 💇

Building a multi-service booking no longer means backing out and restarting to assign a different staff member to the second service — each service takes its own practitioner inline. A click-count fix on paper, but multi-staff visits are the normal case in these businesses, so it removes friction from the most common complex booking.

Choose which team members show up for online bookings — service by service

Online booking can be switched off per staff member per service, for practitioners whose books are already full from repeat clients. The service-level setting still takes priority, with an inline explainer when the toggle is disabled — the kind of precedence detail that decides whether a per-staff control is usable.

Permissions to change service / retail prices

Price-editing permission splits into service and retail, where previously checkout access meant editing anything. It fits the run of releases handing owners finer control over what front-desk staff can change.

    Add New Brands

Salons can add product brands themselves instead of contacting Phorest, searching the global catalogue first and creating a new brand when nothing matches. It is the clearest example of the support-ticket-removal thread in this feed.

    Pricing just got personal

Individual prices per staff member per service, flowing through booking, checkout and online, plus one table showing every service a staff member is qualified for with timings. Pricing that varies by practitioner is how these businesses already work; this is the software catching up to it.

Geofencing Clock In/Out on Phorest Go

Geofenced clock in and out on Phorest Go, with a configurable radius and an offsite-clock-out option that records the exception rather than blocking it. Staff clock in from their phones instead of queueing at the front desk, and owners get a location check they did not have.
