NetNewsWire spent 7.1.3 rebuilding Feedly sync, and is now polishing the result.

Current state
The 7.1.3 cycle was dominated by one thing: a Feedly syncing overhaul that stopped users getting rate-limited into temporary bans, fixed a mark-as-read backlog that could grow without bound, and repaired a long list of folder and feed corruption bugs. With that shipped on Mac, the work has dropped to single-fix betas and a 7.1.4 build on iOS carrying no release notes yet.
Where it's heading
Mac and iOS move in lockstep a few days apart, each fix landing on both platforms in turn. Nothing in the window adds a feature; the entire cycle is correctness in the sync layer and the feeds list. For a reader whose value is that the unread count is right, that is the product work — but it also means the roadmap is invisible from the changelog alone.
Prediction
7.1.4 looks like a small follow-up rather than a feature release, given the beta carries a single rendering fix and the iOS build ships without notes.

    iOS-7.1.4-7210

An iOS build tagged with a version bump and the note that release notes still need writing. There is no description of what changed, so no direction can be read from it.

Article text no longer overlaps the top image in some feeds

A single rendering fix for article text overlapping the top image in some feeds. The 7.1.4 beta opens quietly after the large 7.1.3 sync cycle.

7.1.3 final lands the Feedly sync rebuild and rate-limit backoff on Mac

The centrepiece of the cycle: Feedly syncing overhauled to avoid rate-limit bans, the mark-as-read backlog capped, and a long run of folder, rename and restore bugs closed. It fixes the failure mode most likely to make a synced reader untrustworthy.

Feeds stop losing their names and showing as Untitled

Feeds no longer lose their names and display as Untitled — one of the corruption bugs the Feedly rebuild was chasing, landing on Mac first.

Two feeds-list crashes and unresponsive timeline taps fixed on iOS

The same Untitled-feed fix on iOS, with two feeds-list crashes and unresponsive timeline taps. Platform catch-up a few hours behind the Mac beta.

Feed requests wait for connectivity instead of failing after sleep

Feed and sync requests now wait for connectivity instead of failing outright after waking from sleep, and a failed attempt no longer causes the next refresh to skip the feed. Small, but it removes a recurring source of phantom unread counts.
