Time tracking and project time reporting tool for teams and freelancers

My Hours launches a Claude MCP connector, making AI-driven time logging a first-class workflow

time-trackingmcpai-nativeinvoicingcomplianceproject-management
Current state
My Hours is a time tracking platform with a strong invoicing and reporting core, now shipping in two distinct directions: an AI integration layer (Claude MCP connector, Sep 3) and expanded compliance-friendly tracking features (break tracking with payroll calculations, attendance reports, budget alerts). The September releases represent the most capability-dense period in the window, following a patch-heavy summer. The MCP connector runs on Keboola's Cloudflare infrastructure — zero install, OAuth-only.
Where it's heading
The Claude MCP connector signals a clear strategic bet: My Hours wants to be the time tracking tool you interact with through AI conversation rather than through a timer UI. The infrastructure choice (remote server on Cloudflare, not a local install) removes adoption friction, making it viable for teams already using Claude. Parallel development on attendance reports and break tracking points toward a compliance and HR use case — overtime tracking, payroll-ready break records — that broadens My Hours beyond professional services billing.
Prediction
The MCP integration will expand to cover write operations beyond time logging — budget tracking, invoice creation, and report export are the most obvious additions. The attendance report launched in August suggests a near-term push toward HR and payroll integrations, potentially positioning My Hours against more compliance-focused tools like Harvest or Timely for regulated industries.

Recent moves

Breaks, simpler clocking & bulk edit for Basic (9.10.0)

Break tracking with payroll-ready calculations (unpaid breaks subtracted from worked hours, dedicated columns in reports) plus bulk log editing on Basic plans are two meaningful quality-of-life improvements. The breaks feature addresses a compliance gap — unpaid break records matter for overtime law in many jurisdictions — and the Basic plan expansion reduces a friction point for smaller teams.

    My Hours MCP for Claude

    ⚡ SPARK

My Hours now has a remote MCP server on Cloudflare infrastructure — one OAuth login from Claude's connector directory gives Claude access to timesheets, project data, and time logging without any local install or API token management. This is the most directional move in the recent window, making My Hours one of the few time tracking tools with native AI assistant integration.

Task budget alerts, invoice references & Jira sync (9.9.0)

Task budget alerts, invoice reference fields, and a Jira sync fix (moved issues no longer break sync) are incremental improvements to My Hours' project financial layer. Budget alerts especially fill a workflow gap — teams tracking hours against project budgets previously had no automated warning before they overran.

Attendance report, budget tracking & invoice links (9.8.0)

The new Attendance report adds a compliance-grade view: target vs. actual hours, over/under time, paid/unpaid time off, per user and daily. Combined with budget columns on Dashboard and Detailed reports, this release significantly extends My Hours' financial and HR reporting surface — fitting the trajectory toward compliance and payroll use cases.

Custom field filters, view settings & invoicing improvements (9.6.0)

Custom field filters on Detailed reports and the Projects list, a consolidated settings cog for view controls, and a dedicated invoice email address add reporting depth and configuration flexibility. The currency symbol display change (£/€/$ shown by default) reflects user feedback on invoice readability. These are solid UX improvements that reduce friction in the reporting workflow.
