◆Current state
LaunchNotes releases every one to two weeks with short, plainly written notes. The June release put templates, a Confluence source and an MCP server out together; August extended that so an agent in Claude or Cursor can drive LaunchNotes as a step in an existing workflow. This release is inward-facing: scheduled announcements get their own sidebar tab and the command-K search is rebuilt.
◆Where it's heading
The company has spent most of the year removing reasons to open LaunchNotes at all — Smart Draft to absorb messy source material, Confluence and Jira as inputs, an MCP server so an assistant can publish without a human in the editor. Now that the agent path exists, the releases are turning to the people still working in the app: finding scheduled work, searching across it, exporting from dashboards. Both halves feed the same goal of making product communication a background task.
◆Prediction
Scheduling and digests now have separate homes but no shared view of what is queued to go out when; a combined calendar or queue is the obvious next step, and the ⌘K rebuild is the kind of groundwork that usually precedes one.
