Eclipse Che automates OpenShift security setup and tightens authentication across DevWorkspace deployments

◆Current state
Eclipse Che is shipping monthly releases with infrastructure security and operational automation as the primary themes: automated external OIDC configuration for OpenShift, kubeconfig token sync to prevent credential drift between workspace sessions, automated Prometheus resource setup, and a migration to OIDC for Azure DevOps (replacing the deprecated OAuth2 flow). The consistent pattern across releases is reducing manual operator intervention in security-sensitive configuration.
◆Where it's heading
Each release removes a setup step that previously required manual operator configuration or creates sync mechanisms that prevent credential state divergence. The direction is toward a Che deployment that maintains its own security posture without per-workspace operator scripts. The multi-cluster workspace spreading (v7.115) and backup/restore mechanism (v7.116) suggest Che is also targeting enterprise-scale Kubernetes environments with multiple clusters.
◆Prediction
The backup/restore cross-cluster mechanism introduced in 7.116 is likely to become more self-service — reducing dependency on operator scripts for common recovery scenarios.
