Observability data pipeline for routing, shaping and reducing telemetry

Cribl Stream 4.20 arrives with performance improvements while 4.19 deprecates TypeScript and Go SDKs.

Current state
Cribl Stream is shipping monthly minor releases with significant breaking changes and deprecations alongside performance improvements. Version 4.19.1 announced TypeScript and Go SDK discontinuation, deprecated Smart Mode for Source Persistent Queue, and introduced multiple breaking changes. Version 4.19.2 patched a critical OAuth bug where secret expression strings were sent as literal text instead of resolved values. Version 4.20.0 is now available with new capabilities.
Where it's heading
Cribl is consolidating its integration surface — retiring language-specific SDKs signals a shift toward API-first or UI-driven configuration rather than programmatic setup. The cadence of breaking changes in consecutive releases (IPv6 binding, Cribl.Cloud 404 changes, SDK discontinuation) suggests the team is accelerating architectural cleanup before a larger platform consolidation.
Prediction
The SDK deprecation will drive customers toward Cribl's official API or UI-based configuration; expect a 4.20 cycle focused on API completeness to support that migration.

Cribl Stream 4.19.1: TypeScript and Go SDK discontinued, Smart Mode PQ deprecated

4.19.1 announces TypeScript and Go SDK discontinuation and deprecates Smart Mode for Source Persistent Queue — two changes that require customer action. SDK removal narrows Cribl's integration surface; customers using programmatic configuration via those SDKs need a migration path.

    Cribl Stream 4.18.2

4.18.2 changes single-item GET requests in Cribl.Cloud to return 404 for unknown IDs — a Cribl.Cloud-specific API behavior change that may break client error handling, alongside performance fixes.

    Cribl Stream 4.18.1

4.18.1 fixes a critical Syslog TCP framing state reset bug that could cause data corruption during quiet gaps in octet-counted framing deployments — a correctness patch, not a new feature.
